United Methodists Always Sit In The Back…Or Do We?

Want to know one of the simplest, most impactful ways you can support UMCL without spending a dime or adding anything to your schedule?

Sit in the front pews.

It may sound small, but it makes a big difference. Today, most first-time visitors experience our church online before they ever walk through our doors. They’re watching, listening, and quietly asking, “What kind of community is this?”

And here’s the honest truth: our cameras mostly capture the first few rows of the sanctuary… which, as we all know, tend to be the most “spacious” seats in the house.

From the screen, it can look like no one is here—even when we have a full and vibrant congregation gathered just a few rows back. In fact, after our Good Friday service, someone who watched online wondered if anyone had attended at all. Meanwhile, over 100 people were present.

So here’s the invitation: help us tell a fuller story.

By simply moving a few rows forward, you become part of the welcome we extend to those we haven’t met yet. Your presence helps others see that this is a living, breathing, engaged community of faith.

Think of it as a quiet act of evangelism with no words required.

And who knows? You might even discover that the view is better up front.

So come on down…

You’re the next congregant on “TheWorship Is Right!”
