From Education to Action: Community-wide Immigration Forum | Saturday, August 8

Join UMCL and area community organizations as we come together for a community-wide immigration form. The forum is designed to present accurate information related to immigration policies and how they are currently impacting our community. We'll hear from immigrants, volunteers, community organizations, and policy experts as we gather information and resources that clarify current local challenges and how we can respond to support local needs.

As people of Christ, UMCL strives to live out our calling to love our neighbors and to embody our mission statement that invites people to Belong. Believe. Become. From Anywhere. Join us as confront this important topic and identify ways we can respond.

This event is open to the public and high school students on up are encouraged to attend.

This is a joint program between people of faith, the United Methodist Church's Northern Illinois Conference Commission on Religion and Race Immigration committee, and UMCL. Adults and High School Youth from Lake County and surrounding communities and churches are encouraged to attend.
