Children’s Ministries
Are you looking for enriching opportunities that allow your children and you as a parent to grow in Christian faith surrounded by an encouraging community? UMCL’s Children’s Ministries provide a solid foundation of Bible knowledge, service to the community, and participation in worship—and we have so much fun in the process! Children and families are at the heart of the UMCL community!
Children's Sunday School
Preschool through 5th grade
We invite children ages 4 through 10 to join the fun while growing their faith and building their knowledge of the Bible. Classes are held after Sunday worship services from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. as part of our Faith Formation Hour. Registration is required, guests are welcome, and parental involvement is encouraged.
Classes begin September 20. Registration opens August 30.
Nursery Care
Ages 0 to 4
Little ones from newborn to age 4 are invited to join the UMCL Nursery available upon request during Sunday worship services from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. You’ll find our nursery to be a loving, safe, clean, and secure environment where your child will feel nurtured into our church community. Please speak to a Welcome Committee Greeter upon arrival at the church.
Support and Groups for Parents
Parenting is not easy, and it truly takes a village to raise great kids! At UMCL, you’ll find a supportive community of other parents who encourage each other through the many challenges of parenthood. We offer prayer and support groups and learning opportunities to help you be your best mom or dad self.
We Take Safety seriously.
We are committed to keeping our faith community safe. UMCL is a Safe Gatherings Congregation. This means that we’ve completed a nationally-recognized certification process to help keep children and vulnerable populations within our congregation safe.
